In a 2 player action race Sonic and Shadow can activate a glitch that will increase your running speed. To activate the glitch get between 80-89 rings, and make sure you have a speedup. When you are ready stand in front of a point marker and then press the B button to activate your speedup, directly afterwards run through the gate. Your character will now run at 2x speed. To deactivate the glitch exit the level or select “No” after the race is over.
NOTE: This glitch will also cause a decrease in grinding and boarding speed.
Double Grinding and Boarding speed
In a 2 player action race Sonic and Shadow can activate a glitch that will increase your grinding and boarding speed. To activate the glitch get between 80-89 rings, and make sure you have a speedup. When you are ready stand in front of a point marker walk through and then press B button to activate your speedup as soon as the lights on your characters shoe’s appear. your character will now run at half speed,but will board and grind faster to deactivate the glitch exit the level or select “No” after the race is over.
Invincible Amy
This only works in multiplayer. The first step is to die. Then, before you are re-spawned, Hold the B-button. If you continue to hold it, you will become invincible and kill any other player you touch.
This trick only works as long as you hold the B button down. If you release it, you will lose this glitch and have to die again to regain it.

Now for those of you that do not know about Chaos chao, here are some basic facts: 1)Chaos chao can only die if you are constantly treating them bad for 5 years of their life or if you say Goodbye to them. 2)Chaos chao can’t mate under any circumstance. Note: Another name for a Neutral Chaos chao is a Light Chaos chao. Just follow these simple steps and you’ll have a Neutral Chaos Chao in no time!
Step 1: Reincarnate your chao 2 or more times.
Step 2: Give your chao one of every animal.
{NOTE: DO NOT GIVE THE CHAO ANY CHAOS DRIVES!}
Step 3: If in SA2:B, treat it with equal care from both Hero and Dark characters. The ball color should stay yellow.
Step 4: Wait for it to evolve and when it does you will have you Neutral Chaos Chao.
This is not a step but is a useful tip. You can make a Chaos Chao that resembles Chaos Zero! Mate a Shiny Purple Chao with a Jewel Chao to get a translucent chao that has Chaos Zero colored skin with green tips! Then make this chao into a Neutral Chaos Chao and you have a chao that resembles Chaos Zero!
All you need is a GBA, A GBA-GCN Link Cable, 2 memory card, and the game and a gamecube.Now what you do is connect your GBA to the GCN with the GBA-GCN link cable (the GBA MUST have NO game cartridge in it!). Now turn on the GBA and drop off the chao you want to clone into the GBA. Now move the chao copy into the other memory card you have. After the chao has been moved to the other memory card, pick up the chao. After the chao has been picked up, turn off the GBA. And now you have 2 of the same chao! (A chao can mate with itself.)
Infinite Stamina/Infinite Food Trick
This trick requires some timing but you don’t have to be an expert. What you do is first, buy a mushroom. Now, wait for a chao to be starving to a point as to where they themselves will get their own food. Wait for that moment and when you see the chao who’s stamina you want to be increased going to pick up some food, get to the food before them and throw it out of their path along with other food around it. Now get the mushroom and place it fairly close to the chao and wait for them to start to pick up the mushroom and right when they are going to sit down and start eating it, at mid-point when they are just about done sitting themselves down, take the mushroom away from them, and DO NOT put down the mushroom! Watch as the chao starts eating the air in front of it. This is a glitch! The chao is now eating air instead of the mushroom and will continue to do so for as long as the mushroom stays in your hand. You can let the chao eat air until the stamina is maxed out or just eventually get bored and put down the mushroom and the chao will start eating the REAL mushroom instead of air. This trick is said to not work on certain games and is said that the chao will, on these certain games, the chao will eventually throw away the air.
Animal Trick
This trick will also work with a Chaos Drive but is slightly harder. What you do is get a chaos drive or animal that you would like your chao to have a lot of for their stats. Now it is recommended that you place the chao near a fallen pillar in hero garden or near a tombstone in dark garden so the chao doesn’t move and screw you up but you don’t have to. When your chao is sleeping you can pet it and it won’t go anywhere because it is tired. Now what you do is you stand a certain distance away from the chao and have your character holding the drive or animal face the chao. Now move your character a few steps so as you aren’t giving the chao a drive or animal but placing it RIGHT in front of them. Now put down the drive or animal and they will take it and gain the stats. If you did this correctly, you will be able to re-use the animal or drive! This takes some practice for some people but should be fairly easy once you get the hang of it.
Pet Trick
This trick is used to pet multiple chao at once. To do this trick simply gather 2 or more chao in one area and make them very close to each other. Now pet your chao in the middle area and then all the chao should have hearts on their heads as if you are petting all of them.
Amy Chao:
This chao looks a lot like Amy except the quills don’t touch her neck and it doesn’t have a dress on. You can raise it only from a pink egg. To get it raise it just like you would a Sonic Chao neutral/run/run.
Super Sonic Chao:
You would raise it just like you would a Sonic chao only you would mate a Gold chao with a Shiny Yellow chao and you may get a mixture.
Super Shadow Chao:
Raise a Shiny Grey egg and mate it with a regular chao to get a two-toned chao. Raise it and turn it into a Dark/Running/Running and it will retain it’s stripes.
Link Chao:
You all should know link from the Legend of Zelda games. This chao looks like a miniature version of link. You have to raise him from a green egg. Now raise him to be a neutral/swim. He should look like link except his face is green and he doesn’t have a sword.
Metal Sonic Chao:
This chao looks a whole lot like metal Sonic. First you have to have a GCN to GBA link cable buy the Sapphire Egg for 7000 rings then bring the egg back to the GameCube. Now give it a boar to get the silver shoes. Now raise it to be a neutral/running/normal and it will look a lot like Metal Sonic. The last step is for your chao to win the Topaz race and get a medal so it will look like the breastplate of Metal Sonic.
Ice Chao:
First get a Shiny White and a Sky Blue Egg. Raise them to become adults and mate them. You want the chao to come out of the egg as an transparent sky blue and shiny white. Now raise it to be a neutral/swim/swim. The long ears and tip of head will look like icicles.
