Sunny’s Review – E3 Presentation

We’ve all heard the promises: Animal Crossing 3D, Legend of Zelda (new game or possibly Majora’s Mask in 3D), Fire Emblem, Super Smash Bros. and Metroid.

Well if you watched the E3 Presentation of 2012, you would know what I am about to say.

That was the WORST E3 Presentation I have ever witnessed! I was at least expecting something about Animal Crossing 3D since it was supposed to have come out last year. But no, no news about that other than a Wii-U mini game about teaching kids to steal candy from guards! What is Nintendo thinking?

I don’t know about you, but I think the FANS have what it takes to make our dreams become real. Here’s a fan-made trailer for Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JOChBfhta4

This trailer might be fan-made, but I’ve never seen Nintendo do anything like this! This blows away any “Lego Batman” news that they tried to pull on us! I wish them luck in creating a version of LoZ:MM3D.

I watched as hundreds of users on E3.Nintendo.com shouted in the chat box “Animal Crossing!”, “FIRE EMBLEM FIRE EMBLEM FIRE EMBLEM!”, “Zelda ZELDA!”, “Where’s SSB?!”, “METROID!”, “This is boring!”, and “What a disappointment!”

The only game I would be interested in buying this “holiday season” would be Paper Mario Sticker Star.

Nintendo needs to get their act together before they lose a whole lot of fans. I’ve been a fan of Nintendo for a long time, and I know they can do better than this. What’s up with the “Epic Mickey” game graphics anyway? Why are we regressing to GBA graphics? And Castlevania? I don’t know anything about that series, but I can tell from a distance the graphics stink! Super Mario 64 and Donkey Kong 64 had better graphics! And TWO Super Mario games? I didn’t like the fact that I could save my data on the Wii version, so let’s hope they changed that at least.

I began to watch the E3 Presentation with high-hopes, and expected a lot more from Nintendo. I guess you can say “Well, there’s always next year!” but I think they owe it to the fans to make some major changes for the better THIS YEAR.

Sunny’s Review – MegaMan Battle Network VS MegaMan Star Force

Hello everyone, today I’m going to talk about the Megaman Battle Network series versus the Megaman of Star Force series, and the pros and cons of both!

I’ve played both series to completion, except MBN1 & 6 and MSF3, and from my time of playing, I have concluded that Megaman Battle Network is a far better series in it’s time than Megaman of Star Force.

Megaman Battle Network was first based for the GameBoy Advance, therefore it’s graphics were the best they could be for their time. During game-play, sprites were used. In the first three games, a larger sprite was used, making it better to see. But then in the last three games, a much smaller sprite was used. It was tougher to view the game graphics, but still do-able. The upgraded MBN5 for the DS was a lot of fun to play, as it was more realistic 🙂

VS

The first three games had the best plots in my opinion, with the third being my absolute fav. The graphics and story-line were the best. I wish the rest of the MBN games got better from there, but unfortunately, a new director took over 4-6.

Now for Megaman of Star Force. For some reason, they kept the really small sprite look from MBN4-6. They made MSF for the DS, so why didn’t they upgrade? MBN was for the GB, they didn’t have to keep the itty-bitty graphics. The only thing I like about the graphics is the new battle-field, but only graphics-wise. You couldn’t move back or forward, just side-to-side.

As for the story-line, it held my attention for a little while. Maybe that was because I heard it was going to be really good, and I had several others playing it with me on their own DS’s. But it just didn’t last. It was waaaayyy too easy to get through, no challenge. That was a real let-down for me, as I loved the MBN games for their challenges.

But these are just my reasons for it, don’t let me stop you from playing them! And thank you for reading another Sunny’s Review 🙂

Sunny’s Review – Mario Kart 7/3DS

I recently played the new Mario Kart 7 game for the 3DS, and I’m really glad I did. I’ve loved all Mario Kart games, especially Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii, but this one passed them all!

The graphics are just as good, if not better, than MKWii. The stages are serene and beautiful, and others are dangerous and cool. Bowser’s Castle was a-m-a-z-i-n-g, with Rainbow Road being EPIC! I loved them all, they are very well done, and detailed. My favorite stages are Music Park, Bowser’s Castle, Rainbow Road and Airship Fortress, in no particular order.

The controls are sooo much better than any other system’s controls, gotta love that circle-pad control. It IS a bit harder to skid than MKDS, just because it’s longer. But it works fine for me 🙂 The 3D effect makes the game even better, as the road seems to be coming at you! After a little time of playing, the 3D effects seem quite normal 🙂

The coins are a great addition to this game series, as every other Mario game has coins in it, but previous games did not. Coins in this game, when you get one, give you an immediate small boost of energy. When you collect enough coins (you can only collect 10 coins per stage, and there are 4 stages per Cup) you get a kart upgrade. Also, the new items Lucky 7, Fireflower, and the Tanooki Tail; and being able to race under the water are all amazing upgrades for the game!

All-in-all, this game was a great upgrade, one I am glad to have played 😀 I hope you all give it a try if you haven’t, this is in my opinion the best Mario Kart game in the series ^^

** The pictures look nothing like the game itself, as the pics look pixelated, but the game-play has smooth graphics.

Sunny’s Review – My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic S2E24 “MMMystery on the Friendship Express”

Hello everyone, I’m here to discuss this week’s episode, MMMystery on the Friendship Express!

This week’s episode was quite fun and entertaining. The overall mystery was intriguing and suspenseful but kid-friendly, as most of the characters who were involved where Pinkie’s friends. It ended quite well, despite the fact that all of the chef’s deserts were destroyed. What I loved most about this episode was the clue-finding, as it reminds me of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, which I believe Chapter 6 is identical to this episode.

As always, the animation was quite smooth and left you yearning for the next episode 🙂 The new character’s designs were well-done, my favorite being Mulia Mild for her attempt at being “competitive” XD

In this episode, we learn to not make assumptions, as it can hurt other’s feelings, and make you look foolish. Pinkie Pie had assumed that the other chef’s had sabotaged the Mr. and Mrs. Cake’s cake “Mmm”, but it was actually Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Rarity, who just couldn’t help but take a bite out of the delicious cake.

I am looking forward to Hasbro’s next episodes, as Twilight’s brother “Shining Armor” will be getting married to Cadence, Princess Celestia’s niece!

Thanks for reading Sunny’s Review! ^^
